We were recommended Kleev Homes by our architect. After initial concerns about not going to tender for our project, we decided to trust the architect's recommendation and proceed directly with Kleev. We couldn't have made a better decision.

What followed from there was 12 months of absolutely fantastic workmanship, thorough and transparent financial management and professionalism from start to finish. The Kleev team mainly consisted of James, Brad (Project Manager) and Julian (foreman) who managed the entirety of our project to perfection. Our project consisted of a substantial extension to a single fronted Victorian terrace. There were a number of added complexities with our project, including a terribly narrow site and street access, a very difficult neighbour and the fact that we were living overseas throughout the entire construction period. The Kleev team managed all of these complexities without issue and kept us continuously updated with regular progress updates (via WhatsApp groups and email). Kleev Homes made renovating whilst overseas an absolute dream and we couldn't be happier with our new home.

Mark & Katie, WINDSOR

We have loved working with Kleev Homes and have gone back to them again to work on our beach house after the wonderful job they did on our home renovation.

We decided to update our home in Fairfield and worked with James in collaboration with our original architects. Every element required care and craftsmanship and James and his team approached the project with skill, care and patience. They bought ideas and materials to the table and took time to make sure that everything from recladding our internal staircase with carved timber to delivering a bespoke stone mantel was delivered perfectly.

James, Michael and the team delivered on schedule, communicated exceptionally and found cost effective solutions to the problems our projects have presented. They have worked hand in glove with the architects, appreciating the skill and care they had bought to the drawings to render them in the finished product.

Finally, we have always felt we can trust Kleev Homes. That trust and confidence is what makes a renovation into a collaboration and what  is often a stressful process into a creative and enjoyable one.

It was not a straightforward build in many respects. It is a heritage listed house and this posed problems in regard to the treatment of and consideration towards what existed and what could be retained. We have four boys, two dogs and a cat and asked that the build be broken into two stages so that we could remain living at the property throughout.

The whole process took 15 months. Throughout that time we enjoyed an easy and respectful working relationship with James Kleverlaan, Michael Holliday (the foreman) and our architect. Michael was onsite every day and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, informed and happy with the way things were going.

The project grew to include extensive repairs to the existing two-storey verandah that surrounds three sides of the old part of the house which was not in the original brief. It also included and extension which included a kitchen, powder room and bathroom as well as upgrades to three existing bathrooms.

Now that six months has past since completion I can say that we are pleased with the quality of the finishes and standard of the work carried out as well as the continued service that Kleev Homes has provided to rectify any niggling issues.

This was our first major construction project and we entered it with some trepidation - particularly as ours was so obviously a complicated project and particularly given the horror building experiences that are often retold by family and friends. So, it was to our great relief that we realised early in our dealings that Kleev was entirely professional and committed to satisfying the wishes of the architect and the client.

Throughout the project, and, most importantly, during the inevitably difficult periods, Kleev Homes, and in particularly, James Kleverlaan, always maintained and easy going and approachable manner. Their sensible and logical approach to problem solving and issue resolution was a great benefit. All variations to the contract were well thought through and were discussed and negotiated with input from the architect and ourselves as the client. We felt included and respected at all times.

The quality of the work performed by Kleev and its various sub-contracted trades was very high, and, most importantly of all, we have ended up with a great home!
